"Our experience with Andrea was wonderful..."
"In November of 2002, we chose Andrea as our real estate agent to see our home in Chatham County. We also used her service to find a home to purchase in Chapel Hill, which we did July 2003. Our experience with Andrea was wonderful and we would not hesitste to recommend her to anyone looking to see or purchase a home. Andrea was very, very prompt and always answered any of our questions immediately. She was always available via the email or mobile phone and we felt like she always put us first, even though we know she had other clients that she was helping as well. Andrea quickly dug to find answers for us, whether it was by calling utility companies, mortgage brokers, lawyers or calling other agents. She was quick with her findings. In some cases it seemed like she found the answers before we even asked the questions! We were always well informed and a lot of that had to do with how quickly Andrea got the information back to us. She did not hesitate to deliver information to our door if need be. She was very visible agent, which we appreciated. Andrea knows the real estate business very well and made our time with her very pleasant, even during the stressful time of buying and selling a home. She gave us many tips on how to make the home we were selling more presentable and scheduled open houses and agent brunches at our house to make sure that as many people as possible saw our home. She was very thorough with printing pamphlets, having a virtual tour done of our home, listing our house in the local papers as well as sending out postcards to all the area agents. She went above and beyond to make sure our house was viewed by many, many prospective buyers. She also did her research on what type of house we were looking to purchase and did a great job of finding different houses in the area that fit our tastes perfectly. She did not waste our time with houses that were obviously not for us and she never tried to push us into something we weren't comfortable with. She did a fantastic job of weeding through what was available and finding exactly what we were looking for. Andrea showed up at every meeting fully prepared. She was courteous and very professional, but she was also flexible in dealing with our schedules as well as our two young children, which could make the whole house hunting process more difficult. She never made us feel that way.She was very welcoming of our entire family in the hunt for our new home and because of that we feel like we all had a part in the house we ended up with. We are now in our new house in Chapel Hill. It is a truly beautiful house and fits our needs to a tee. Even though we had our closing and moved into our new home already, Andrea still calls us and checks up with us to make sure that everything is running smoothly. She has willingly taken on tasks that were left undone by the previous owners of this house, and we are amazed that she is still so involved with us even after the deal has been finalized. She has really made this whole process a hundred times better than it could have been. She made things painless as possible and she also helped put us in our dream home. Because of that, we would highly recommend Andrea Early to anyone who wants a personable, likeable agent who thoroughly knows her job, but also remembers that she is working with people, not just numbers."

Real Estate Contracts >Clean Contracts
"Clean" is a term that is often used to describe an offer on a house. A "clean" offer does not refer to the price of the house, but to the terms of the agreement. If you really want a particular house, the "cleaner" you can make your offer, the better.
What are the characteristics of a clean contract? A contract is considered "clean" when the buyers are paying cash or are clearly qualified for a mortgage, the sale isn't contingent on the sale of another home, the buyers don't ask the sellers to carry any of the financing, and if the closing date coincides with the sellers' needs. A clean contract doesn't have any unusual requests for repairs or insistence that certain articles convey that would not ordinarily stay in the house. A clean offer has an important competitive edge if you are offering less than full price or if you are in a situation where there is more than one offer on the property.
